Pennsylvania Politician Gets Jail for DUI Driving Under the Influence

A former state lawmaker from Lehigh County has been sentenced to at least three months in prison following his arrest for DUI driving under the influence and assaulting his wife. Former State Representative Joseph Brennan (D) was arrested in August 2012 after he punched and choked his wife at their home in Lehigh County, then drove away while under the influence of alcohol. This was his second DUI arrest in two years. He pleaded guilty to the domestic violence simple assault and driving under the influence charges, and was sentenced on Thursday. DUI Driving Under the Influence Mom Arrested

A mom from Dauphin County was charged Saturday with DUI driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after she crashed her car with her 15-year-old daughter in the vehicle. In addition to the DUI driving under the influence, Summer Heikes of Middletown, was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of an open alcohol container or controlled substance in a motor vehicle. She was charged with making a false police report, driving with a suspended license and other traffic violations too. Police report Heikes was traveling too fast for conditions and was unable to stop her car at a stop sign at an  intersection. Dallas Cowboy Charged With DUI Driving Under the Influence

Dallas Cowboy Josh Brent has been arrested for DUI driving under the influence and manslaughter stemming from a crash on Saturday that resulted in the death of a teammate. The accident happened about 2:20 a.m. Saturday in a Dallas suburb, hours before Brent was to be on a team flight to Cincinnati for the Cowboys’ game Sunday against the Bengals. Brent was responsive when police arrived at the scene of the accident, and able to speak with officers. Philadelphia politician Cherelle Parker is scheduled to stand trial for DUI charges resulting from an arrest in 2011. Again. Back in April 2011, the police believed they had probable cause to stop Parker for drinking and driving when her car was driving the wrong way on a one-way street in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.
